Hear it this BREAKING NEWS from me first!!!!
This is awesome news for the area! I’m stoked!
NIXLE ALERT: “New Margaritaville development set for Hardeeville.
The city of Hardeeville is one of the fastest growing cities in the state of South Carolina. The trend will hopefully continue with the announcement of a new development being built along highway 278. Minto Communities and Margaritaville Holdings announced their second Latitude Margaritaville location today. It will be built in the city of Hardeeville on Highway 278, two and a half miles east of I-95.
The active adult residential community will feature homes built for the 55-and better community with a “no worries” tropical vibe of Margaritaville. The 2,739-acre community will include a 72-acres site for 290,000-square foot Margaritaville-inspired festive retail center. Earlier this year, Minto and Margaritaville holdings broke ground in Daytona Beach, Florida for the first Latitude Margaritaville community. Hardeeville Mayor, Harry Williams says, “Hardeeville will now become the place for retirees from across the country who want to enjoy the beauty and amenities of the region>” The mayor went on to say the retail shops and restaurants will make Hardeeville a destination spot for the entire Lowcountry area. The city of Hardeeville is excited about this venture. We truly look forward to working with Minto and Margaritaville holdings on the Hilton Head Latitude Margaritaville Community.”

Not a bad view with my Easter dinner with friends last night. So thankful for where we live, and those that live here with us.
“Winter Dip” photo by Lori Bee
So I’ve been a little slack of posting my photos on my actual blog. I have posted them here and there on my Facebook Business Page, but wanted to make sure I also documented them here.
This one was apparently so good that a local photographer tried to claim it as her own. LOL. I take it as a compliment, but I did indeed take this. She later relented, stating her software mistakenly flagged it as hers. Maybe I should start truly copyrighting them? Maybe even selling them? What do you think.
This was taken in late February at the Sea Pines Beach Club. I so enjoyed watching these carefree young ladies enjoying their “Winter Dip” in the Atlantic Ocean. Life on Hilton Head Island is so grand for our youth.

Doesn’t this video help you dream of Daufuskie Island and Haig Point Club? Well I can help you make that dream a reality!
There’s something about a trip to Daufuskie that takes you on a trip back in time, and to a quieter way of life. The only way to get to Daufuskie is by boat or by ferrry. Haig Point has it’s own ferry service available for residents and guests, and the rest of the island is serviced by various ferry and charter services. Very few cars are permitted on the island (outside of Haig Point) and the primary mode of transportation is by golf cart. So yes, it is a little difficult getting here but oh so worth the effort.
The 8 square miles of Daufuskie Island hold a wealth of history, pristine golf courses, sparsely occupied beaches, artistic & culinary surprises, and friendly people. There is also an Equestrian Center, a an artisan village, farm & community garden, a marina if you happen to have your own boat, and a lighthouse you can actually rent for a weekend or special event.
I am happy to arrange a Discovery Experience for you on Daufuskie Island to find out if you’d like a piece of paradise here. In the meantime, here are the current listings for Daufuskie Island. Contact me at 843.505.3132 or email me to arrange your personal tour of homes.

It’s no secret that Palmetto Bluff is MY personal favorite community in the lowcountry. I spent the afternoon with my dear friend, and fellow Realtor, Rochelle Ferguson with DR Horton Homes, talking about new construction in the area, while we did a walking photo tour around the bluff. Here are a few pictures. Each one will expand on as you click it.
And as always, if you’d like a list of available homes or your personal tour around Palmetto Bluff, feel free to call me at 843.505.3132 or email me at Lori@LoriBee.com .
Checking out Bluffton’s newest dining establishment, The Oyster Bar.
You know the old story… You can only eat oysters in months with the letter “R” in it. Well that’s not true anymore.
Last night, I enjoyed a fabulous smorgasbord of oysters at Bluffton’s newest dining establishment called The Oyster Bar. They have varieties of oysters from all over the country featuring West Coast versions, East Coast versions, and my favorite local varieties when in season. I highly encourage you to go whenever you need to satisfy that oyster craving all year long.
I loved the unique Bluffton ambiance – classy, yet down to earth and very inviting. Definitely check out the side bar patio with inside/out bar and comfy outdoor seating to encourage good times with friends, as I did. Seemed like everybody had the same idea this beautiful Monday night. And that is so Bluffton….
The Oyster Bar is located in the Promenade in Bluffton, in between Agave and Capt’n Woody’s. Tell them Lowcountry Lori sent you.
